A note from us.

We are a very rustic and basic off grid campsite, with no mains electricity and a very limited supply of water. Wherever you decide to pitch, you will have far-reaching views over the wild Atlantic, the freshest air and a sense of genuine escape.

From all of us, we would like to thank David and Sally, who have tirelessly run the campsite for many years. We will aim to maintain the same friendly and helpful atmosphere that they created.

For those unfamiliar with the campsite, please see below for more features and highlights of our site and the local area.

Other Notes

Dark Sky Discovery Status

We are in the Dark Star Discovery status, meaning it’s one of the best places to stargaze in Cornwall, and the UK.

Coastal Path

The scenic coastal path runs a few metres below the site. Access to Mawgan Porth is a 20 minute walk South. Park Head and Porthcothan are the other way.

Cliff Steps to Bedruthan Steps Beach Closed

Unfortunately, during the winter storms the cliff steps leading down to Bedruthan Steps Beach, which is maintained by the National Trust, had a major rockfall and have been deemed too dangerous to be used. The National Trust have stated that these cliff steps to the beach will be closed until further notice.

Local Attractions & Places to eat.

You’re in for a treat - food and drink in Cornwall is world renowned. But you already know that - please view our guide to find the local hotspots to our campsite.

Onsite Hosts

Victoria and George will be your 24/7 onsite hosts. Pop over and say hello if you have any questions (look for the lanky bloke and the blonde lady).
