Dogs
Are dogs welcome?
Absolutely. Well-behaved dogs stay free of charge.
Should dogs be kept on leads?
Yes, unless you have 100% control. Please keep dogs under control at all times and clean up after them so everyone can enjoy the campsite.
Extra Vehicles
You can bring extra vehicles there is no charge.
Booking & Arrival
Do I need to book in advance?
We strongly recommend booking in advance, especially during school holidays and weekends. While we sometimes accept walk-ins, we cannot guarantee availability.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 9:00am. Reception closes at 9:00pm, but if you're arriving outside these hours, please contact us beforehand and we'll explain how to access the campsite.
Can I choose my own pitch?
Yes. We don't allocate pitches, so you're free to choose any available space on a first-come, first-served basis.
Can I arrive late?
Yes. If you expect to arrive after reception closes, just let us know and we'll provide arrival instructions.
Weather & Packing
Is the campsite windy?
Sometimes! Our clifftop location gives incredible views but also means you're exposed to the weather. We recommend sturdy tent pegs, waterproof clothing and warm layers—even in summer.
What should I bring?

The Location
Can you access Bedruthan Steps beach?
Unfortunately, the cliff steps down to Bedruthan Steps beach remain closed due to storm damage and rockfalls. Please do not attempt to climb down the cliffs.
Can I walk to Bedruthan Steps?
Yes. The South West Coast Path runs directly below the campsite, offering spectacular coastal walks.
Is the campsite close to Newquay and Padstow?
Yes. We're ideally located roughly halfway between Newquay and Padstow, making us a perfect base for exploring North Cornwall.
Camping & Facilities
Is the campsite really off-grid?
Yes. We have no mains electricity, which is part of what makes the site so peaceful. Please bring battery packs or solar chargers if you need to charge devices.
Are there electric hook-ups?
No. We do not offer electric hook-ups and generators are not permitted.
Are there toilets and showers?
Yes. We have flushing toilets, hot indoor showers, an outdoor shower, drinking water and washing-up facilities.
Can I charge my phone?
There are no charging points on site, so we recommend bringing a fully charged power bank or solar charger.
Is there drinking water?
Yes. Fresh drinking water is available throughout the campsite.
Can I empty my motorhome chemical toilet?
Yes. We have a designated chemical waste disposal point.
Food & Drink
Is there food available on site?
Yes. We host two food vendors, coffee, breakfast options and our clifftop bar, making it easy to enjoy great food without leaving the campsite.
Is there a campsite shop?
Yes. Our small shop stocks snacks, drinks and camping essentials.
Fires & Cooking
Can I have a campfire?
Yes, as long as it's raised off the ground in a fire pit. Fire pits are available to hire, subject to availability.
Can I bring a BBQ?
Yes. Disposable BBQs must be raised off the ground using the stands provided to protect the grass.
Can I collect firewood?
No. Please don't collect wood from the surrounding area. Firewood is available to purchase on site.
Families
Is the campsite suitable for children?
Yes. Families are very welcome. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Is the campsite quiet at night?
Yes. We ask everyone to respect fellow campers. Please keep noise to a minimum after 11:00pm.
Fridays and Saturdays can be more lively but we ask everyone to be respectful of their neighbours, if there is a problem then you can ask reception to help.
